Intrigued by the SPRINT DESIGN? Fed up by projects that never make it up? If you heard about DESIGN SPRINT or you want to acquire the basic skills in just 2 days (2 full days, where you will experience the whole process) the Bootcamp Design Sprint is your workshop. In the Bootcamp Design Sprint, you can try all the exercises, ask questions, consolidate your confidence in the process and develop the skills to run your own design sprints. You will also learn new and powerful ways to run your design sprints better and faster.
Designers, developers, activists, students and innovation experts will come together to share experiences and spread good practices to understand how we can design the future we want in a conscious way.
GDPR cookie consent prompts, push notifications, app install prompts, video autoplays and annoying pop-ups. Every time we enter a new site, it feels like a fight against all the annoying marketing messages endlessly streaming at us. If you’ve wondered why a product you looked up in a search engine one day keeps showing up in all your social channels over and over just a few hours later, that’s the power of data collection and retargeting at play. We can do better than that though. In this session, Vitaly will be exploring privacy UX patterns, techniques, strategies and important decisions to consider when designing and building privacy-aware websites and applcations. You’ll walk away with a toolbox of applicable techniques, privacy nightmares and a few notes on how to keep your website/app GDPR-compliant and privacy-focused.
Are you ready for a design challenge? In this brand new workshop, Vitaly Friedman, creative lead and front-end/UI consultant behind Smashing Magazine, will be taking a microscopic examination of common interface components and problems appearing in responsive user interfaces. In this workshop, we’ll be spending an entire day drawing and designing responsive interfaces, starting from accordions, to date/time pickers, sliders, feature comparisons, car configurators all the way to insurance calculators and trip planners. The workshop is intended for intermediate/advanced designers and developers who have an understanding of responsive design, interface design and mobile design. Most techniques are borrowed from mid-size and large-scale real-life projects, such as large eCommerce projects, online magazines, and web applications. We won’t cover the basics, instead, the workshop covers more advanced — and often obscure and innovative techniques.
